Mitsuri Kanroji

Mitsuri Kanroji was a love hasira of the Demon Slayer corps in the anime series, Demon Slayer. She was renowned for her love breathing technique.

Talking about the romantic angle, she is the love interest of Obanai Iguro, the snake hasira.

Know about Mitsuri Kanroji’s family and background

Mitsuri Kanroji was born on the 1st of June and raised along with her five siblings. In the series, her parents and siblings are not named.

Since her childhood, she was a very strong child. Only at the age of one year, she was able to lift the weight equivalent of 33 pounds. Hence, she had to act as a weak child to be normal within society which made her family worries about her. In addition, she eats a lot until her head starts to spin.

Why Mitsuri Kanroji joined Demon Slayer Corps?

Many of the Demon Slayers joined the Demon Slayer Corps because of the heartbreak or the tragedy. Even more, most people have been in problems because of demons. Whereas, Mitsuri is very different from the rest of the other demon slayers.
Mitsuri Kanroji joins the Demon Slayer Corps in other to find a husband for her. Initially, she was training with Kyojuro Rengoku. It took on only 6 months of training to be selected as a member of the Demon Slayer Corps.

Mitsuri Kanroji’s sword:  Whip Nichirin Katana

As a demon slayer, she received a sword from the demon slayer corps after her selection. Her sword is also different from other Demon Slayers.

She named her katana as Whip Nichirin Katana. Due to its pink color, her sword is known as a Pink Nichirin sword like Tanjiro’s is known as Black Nichirin. For gaining extra flexibility, she made her sword thin. The length of her katana is also very long than that of other Demon Slayer’s swords.

How her Breathing Style was formed?

The Breathing Style of Mitsuri Kanroji is known as the Breath of Love. When she was training along with Rengoku. She was feeling very difficult to use the flame breathing technique. As a result, she derives the Breath of Love Breathing Style from the Flame Breathing Style. Her breathing style is in six forms and they are as follows:

Obanai Iguro

The Serpent hasira, Obanai Iguro, and Mitsuri were the love interest of each other in the series. Obanai is a secret admirer of Mitsuri and is deeply in love with her. However, Obanai has never confessed his true love feelings for Mitsuri.

Obanai always had a perception that he is unworthy of her due to his bloodline and past trauma. He fell in love with her at first sight. He got the first chance to meet her when she was sitting in the sakura tree. Adding on, to impress her he even gives her gifts such as food. Even more, he also gifts her green shocks that she usually wears with her Demon Slayer Corps dress.

Tanjiro Kamado

Kanroji always found Tanjiro very impressive as he was trying so hard to protect his sister, Nezuko who had turned into a demon.

She also went to Swordsmith Village with Tanjiro in Swordsmith Village Arc.

Nezuko Kamado

Mitsuri is very lovable to Nezuko Kamado. As she keeps on playing with Nezuko in the Swordsmith Village Arc.

Kyojuro Rengoku

The flame hasira, Kyojuro is the one who trains Mitsuri Kanroji. He even tried to teach her the Flame Breathing technique as she cannot do it she create her own Breathing Style.

Shinobu Kocho

They both have a good relationship with each other as they are the only female hashira left. As one of the hashira Kanae was already dead. Further, Mitsuri has good trust in Shinobu.

Unique Weapon

Mitsuri uses a unique weapon while fighting, her weapon seems long and the blades are very thin. As her swords are wielded differently, she is the only one who can use them properly.

Though, she is a woman her body structure and muscle are a bit different. As a result, she can perform difficult tasks and handle different swords technique.

Demon Slayer Mark

She has also awakened her Demon Slayer Mark. When she was battling with Upper Moon Four, Hantengu was able to get the mark. Further, her Demon Slayer mark is the shape of two hearts. Moving on, when she uses this mark her power as well as speed increases more.

Mitsuri Kanroji will Die: Who is the Killer?

Yes, the Love Hashira will die. She will die in the battle against the demon lord Muzan. She shows good strength while fighting against the demon lord, Muzan. Though, she has many injuries she was keeping up the fight. But, she cannot hold up the injuries and tends to die.

Whereas, her attacks and support in the fight have aided a lot in order to kill Muzan. Her attack will make Muzan vulnerable as her attack will cause a lot of injuries to Muzan which will make the victory of Demon Slayers possible.

Will Mitsuri Kanroji and Obanai Iguro ger married?

As Mitsuri Kanroji was about to die in the battle with Muzan, she get her chance to talk with Obanai Iguro. Before she dies, they both promise each other to get together again and get marries to each other.

In chapter 205, they both reincarnated as they promise and marry each other. Further, the husband and wife will live happily ever after running a restaurant business.
