Who are the voice actresses for Mei?

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actress, Konomi Kohara. whereas the English voice for the character is portrayed by the American voice actress, Macy Anne Johnson.

Appearance

Moving toward the appearance of Mei, she is a young girl with pink eyes. Also, she has pink hair, which she keeps in Chinese-style buns at the back of her head. The common dress that Mei wears is a lavender robe and a skirt.

Backstory of Mei

Mei is the first Tensen, who was created 1000 years ago. Adding on, Rein is her creator, who created her using the Tao of a single Tao puppet. whereas it is believed that her creator was the husband of Rein, Jofuku. She then started to help Jofuku with every activity. Adding on, she even started to train the other six Tensens. But she finds that Rein was sacrificing many lives for Hoko in order to gain immortality.

So she stops going any further for her. As a result, Rein cut her plant ovule, which changed Mei’s body into a child. Anyway, she manages to escape, and later Hoko finds her. After all, Mei was able to live a happy life in the abandoned Hoko village.

Mei and Gabimaru

At the first meeting, they were not together. Mei was scared of Gabimaru. Later, while taking a bath, Mei realizes that Gabimaru is a good person, and Gabimaru realizes it too. Heading on, Gabimaru decided to travel alone to Horai but was attacked by Zhu Jin. At the same time, Mei was following him and was able to save Gabimaru. The incident makes Gabimaru attached to Mei.
