Sasaki to Miyano
Sasaki to Miyano is a slice of life and Yaoi Japanese manga and anime series. The manga is written by the Manga Artist, Shō Harusono. In 2016 the manga was first serialized online via the Pixiv Comic website. From October 28-March 2020 a light novel was adapted by Kotoko Hachijō and published under Media Factory.
Moving towards the anime, the anime is directed by the director Shinji Ishihara. The anime was first aired on January 10, 2022, under the studio, Studio Deen.
Sasaki to Miyano- Main Plot
The main plot of the anime is based on two boys Yoshikazu Miyano and Shuumei Sasaki. Yoshikazu gets himself into trouble when he first meets Sasaki on a hot summer day. Sasaki often helps and defends Miyano against the bullies from their classmates, for which Miyano loves the upperclassman within him. Miyano wonders why Sasaki wants to get close to him and calls him with different cute names.
Later on, the shy boy Miyano finds out that Sasaki loves the manga of BL, Fudanshi. The boy who loves BL drama is called Fudanshi. Miyano surprisingly provides him with the BL manga and books which Sakaki loves a lot and demands more. Although Sakaki has his problems, he starts to have feelings for Miyano as more as they spend time together. As of now, they share common interests and relationships and even their relationship is going to be further developed.

Sasaki Shuumei- Sasaki to Miyano

Sasaki Shuumei is the main character of the Japanese anime series Sasaki to Miyano. Though he is known as the bad boy he is attracted towards Yoshikazu and loves to spend time with him. The main issue of the series is Sakaki is in love with Miyano. When Sasaki asks Miyano to give him a manga, Miyano agrees to lend him his BL manga, and their connection starts to happen. Sasaki expresses genuine interest in the manga, and the two begin to talk with each other more frequently. As a result, he enjoys seeing Miyano’s happiness while discussing his interests.
The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor Yusuke Shirai. Yusuke is affiliated with Early Wing.
Moving towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor Kellen Goff provided the voice. Some of his projects include My Hero Academia, Sword Art Online, and Fire Force.
Miyano Yoshikazu

Miyano Yoshikazu is the main character of Sasaki to Miyano. As in the series, he seems to be very shy and has fewer friends. Miyano is quite self-conscious about his feminine looks, as a result of earlier experiences with classmates gently teasing and irritating him for looking ‘girly,’ and a girl he liked urging that he wear typical clothes of the opposite gender. The relationship between Sasaki and Miyano is the plot of the story. Their friendship begins when Sakaki asks for manga from him and he lends him a BL manga which leads them to the relationship talking about the BL together. Slowly as time passes their feelings turn into something more.
The Japanese voice actor and singer Sōma Saitō contribute the Japanese voice for the character. Currently, Soma works for the talent management firm, 81 Produce. In addition to that, he also works for Sacra Music.
Heading towards the English dubbed version, the English voice for the character is provided by the American voice actor Joshua Waters.
Hirano Taiga

Hirano Taiga is the supporting character of Sasaki and Miyano. Taiga is a classmate of Sasaki and usually hang out together. Moreover, he helps Sasaki in the sector by sharing a notebook and assisting in his studies. Kaguira Akira is his roommate and they both have a relationship with each other. The series Hirano and Kaguira is based on their relationship which is chapter 2 of Sasaki and Miyano. Despite everything he does, Hirano is completely unaware of how weak he is for Kaguira and how Kagura feels about him, saying to anybody who asks that something is happening between them.
The Japanese voice actor, Yoshitsugu Matsuoka portrayed the character as Taiga. Yoshitsugu is affiliated with the talent agency, I’m Enterprise.
Whereas, the English voice for the character is provided by the American voice actor, actor, and translator Brandon Mclnnis.

Kaguira Akira

Kaguira Akira is the main character of Hirano and Kaguira. (Second chapter of Sasaki and Miyano). Though Kaguira was frightened by the first impression of Hirano which went bad. Hirano treats him well and makes him feel better with him. Over time Kaguira falls in love with Hirano and wants to marry him. Kaguira comes from a huge nuclear family that gets together frequently over vacations or for special occasions. His family is quite close, and he aspires to have a marriage that is as close to friendship as his parents.
The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actor Nobunaga Shimazaki. Nobunaga is affiliated with Aoni Production. At the 7th Seiyu Awards, he won the Best Rookie Actor Award.
Hanzawa Masato

Hanzawa Masato is the Disciplinary Committee president. As well he is also very hard to read because he is very calm and hard to raise his voice. Even more, he remembers little details around him as he used to observe things. He also helps juniors who are in problems.
Talking about his family background, Hanzawa comes from a huge family with numerous siblings. It’s tough for him to obtain any privacy when he gets home from the dorms.
The Japanese voice for the character is voiced by the Japanese voice actor and singer Yūma Uchida. In this anime world, he is famous for providing a voice for Tokyo Ghoul: re, Given, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Kuresawa Tasuku

Kuresawa Tasuku is the only person who found out about Sasaki and Miyano’s feelings against each other without being told. To his girlfriend, he is very dedicated and he loves her very much. Tasuku is very considerate and mindful of other people’s feelings. Whereas, he is not shy about starting a conversation. Due to his girlfriend’s frequent hospitalization, he cannot make her happy. So, he asks Miyano for the BL drama for his girlfriend.
The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor Ryôhei Arai. Ryôhei is affiliated with Aoni Production.

Tashiro Gonzaburou

Tashiro Gonzaburou is an active, loving, and sweet boy. Most of the people are hurt by him because his mouth works faster than his brain. So he often says the things that come to his mind. Also, he is Miyano’s classmate and friend. When they first met, Tashiro thought of him as a girl. Observing the Miyano and Sasaki relationship he straightly asked if they were dating. The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese actor and voice actor Mitsuhiro Ichiki. As of now, Mitsuhiro works for Mausu Promotion as a voice talent.

Makimura Nao

Makimura Nao is the female character of the series. Being an extrovert she was able to start a conversation with Miyano too. In middle school, she was Miyano’s classmate and crush. They are both good on their terms but one day Makimura suggests Miyano wear a code dress, Miyano thought that she was making fun of him and stopped talking to her. Later, Miyano realizes that she was not making fun of him, she was representing the art.
The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese voice actress Shiori Izawa. Currently, Shiori works for the talent management company, Early Wing. Some of her projects include Demon Slayer, Edens Zero, and Sword Art Online.
Ogasawara Jirou

Ogasawara Jirou has been Sasaki’s close friend since before high school. They both have the same passion and often borrow CDs from each other. Yokota Emi has been Ogasawara girl friend since junior high. Constantly, they quarrel with each other but even love each other very much. Their family also supports them which helps them to spend more time together.
The Japanese voice actor, Yūki Ono contributed a voice to the character. Also, he is a singer by profession. Some of his projects include Bleach, Skate-Leading Stars, and Food Wars.
