The Quintessential Quintuplets is a harem and romantic comedy Japanese anime and manga series. The manga was first serialized on August 9, 2017, in Kodansha’s Weekly Shōnen Magazine. Also, the magazine is written and illustrated by the Manga Artist, Negi Haruba. As of now, the manga has 14 lists of volumes.

Moving towards the anime, the anime was first aired on January 9, 2019, on Network, TBS. The anime is directed by the director Satoshi Kuwabara. Whereas, the second season of the anime is directed by Kaori and was aired on January 8, 2021.

Main Plot

The main plot of the anime follows a brilliant boy and a good student whose name is Fuutarou Uesugi. Heading on, because his attitude towards people around him has made him have no friends. Whereas, one of the reasons for it is his father’s debt too. In addition, he wants money to pay his father’s debt too.

One day, he fights with one of his classmates, claiming that it’s his seat. Also, the classmate with whom Uesugi fights was a new transfer female student, Itsuki Nakano. Following the same say, he gets a chance to become a tutor which can clear the debt of his father. But, when he goes there for tuition he finds that Itsuki was the one whom he has to provide the tuition.

The difficult thing for Fuutarou comes when he knows that he has only tutored Itsuki’s other quintuplets whose names are Miku, Yotsuba, Nino, and Ichika. Along with it, he not only has to tutor them, but he also needs to make them pass on every subject. The anime keeps on moving with Uesugi helping the quintuplets study for their graduation.

Fuutarou Uesugi

Fuutarou Uesugi is the main protagonist of the Japanese anime series The Quintessential Quintuplets. As of now, he is a high school student who is reading at Asahiyama High School. Also, he lives in at small apartment along with his father and sister.

Adding on, he is very intelligent and does hard work on his studies. As well, his father has debt because of this he goes to take tuition classes for the Nakano quintuplets. In his young days, he was very bad at his studies like his father. Even more, he does not like to involve with people. So, he also does not have lots of friends.

Itsuki Nakano

Itsuki Nakano is the 5th sister among the Nakano quintuplets. Even more, she is a very serious type of girl with a crybaby attitude. Though she has poor grades she goes to school on time like a good student.

On her first day at school, she even fights with the main protagonist, Uesugi because he sat on the desk at which Uesugi used to sit. Further, she even rejects him as her tutor because of the incident that happened at the school. Later, she accepts him to be her tutor. Additionally, she is different than her sister as she is not honest and which even creates very problems for herself.

Miku Nakano

Miku is one of the main protagonists of the series and is the third sister among the Nakano quintuplets. Because of her low confidence, she used to remain quiet and silent. That even made her not have faith in herself.

Also, she thinks that everyone should be treated equally. Later, she even fall for her tutor, Fuutarou Uesugi. As well, unlike her sister, she cares about her appearance and even thinks a lot about her own appearance. Further, Fuutarou states that among the quintuplets Miku has the best handwriting.

Yotsuba Nakano

Yotsuba Nakano is one of the quintuplets from Nakano quintuplets and she is the fourth sister among them. In addition, she is very different as she is full of energy and loves to help people who are in need. From the start, she wanted to make Fuutarou a tutor and help him to begin the tuition session.

In the past, all quintuplets were reading at Black Rose Girls School. But, later they transferred to Asahiyama High School where their tutor also reads. Furthermore, she seems to be a very happy and cheerful girl with a loud voice. Because of her habit of helping other, she can’t say no to those who is in need.

Nino Nakano

Nino Nakano is second sister among Nakano quintuplets. Even more, she loves to do activities like cooking and taking care of her sister. So, because of such things she even looks like the mother of the family.

Additionally, she has very friends as compared to her sisters. But, while talking with others she does not think about a single thing. She just says what comes to her mind. Though she speaks fluently and rudely, she really cares for and protects her sister. Besides, the cooking she has a huge interest in romance.

Ichika Nakano

Ichika Nakano is the first sister of the Nakano quintuplets and even played her role as she should play. Whereas, her sisters even have huge trust in her. So, she can easily handle the problem and be a good leader for the quintuplets.

Even more, she has a motive to become a very good actress. Though, she is bad at her studies she has a nature of learning new things and going through obstacles. Moving on, she greatly takes the decision when her sisters are in trouble.
