Sk8 the Infinity is adventure and sports(skateboarding) Japanese manga and anime. The manga artist, Kazuto Kōjima illustrated the manga. The manga was serialized on March 5, 2021, in BookLive! e-book store under Nino imprint.
Moving towards the anime, the anime was first aired on January 10, 2021, in the ABC and TV Asahi’s amazing!!! programming block. The director, Hiroko Utsumi directed the anime where the screenwriter, Ichirō Ōkouchi wrote for the anime.
Later on, muse later licensed the anime series for TV airings on Animax Asia. As of now, the anime has completed its first season with 12 episodes.

Main Plot
The main plot of the anime is based on skateboarding. Reki Kyan is a high school student. He is a skater who is addicted to the highly secret and dangerous downhill skateboarding race at the mine which is no longer operational. And the race is known as “S”. Due to the loss of Reki in the race his skateboard gets broken and even one of his arms. So, he is unable to practice skateboarding.
After a while, he finds his new classmate Langa Hasegawa who has no skateboarding experience. Langa is in desperate would like of cash. Once they visit “S” as tasked by Rekis’s boss, they get into trouble as Langa was bet to skate in the race. However, the mysterious transfer student holds a playing card that Reki is unaware of, one which could facilitate him to win the race within the most sudden means.
Characters
Reki Kyan
Reki Kyan is the main character of the Japanese anime series Sk8 the Infinity. He is a high school student studying in Okinawa. Even more, he also works at DOPE SKETCH as his part-time job. He used to take part in an illegal race being hidden from the police. He is also very close to his friend Langa Hasegawa.
The Japanese voice actor, voice actor, and singer Tasuku Hatanaka played the character Reki Kyan. Furthermore, In 2016 he was listed in the category for the Best Voice Actors for Newtype Anime Awards 2015-2016.
Moving towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor Matt Shipman has provided the voice. Some of his projects include Darling in the Franxx and Dr. Stone.
Langa Hasegawa
Langa Hasegawa is a deuteragonist of the anime Sk8 to Infinity. He is also known as Snow in the illegal skateboard racing platform “S”. Furthermore, he is a half-Japanese student who returned from Canada to Japan as Japan is the place where his mother grew up. He also becomes a student at Okinawa along with Reki Kyan. He has a good friendship with Reki Kyan. Like Reki Kyan, he has no experience of skateboarding but he has knowledge in snowboarding which helps him to get a good start in skateboarding.
The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by Japanese voice actor Chiaki Kobayashi. He is affiliated with Office Osawa.
Whereas, the English voice for the character is provided by the American voice actor Howard Wang. He works for Funimation and Bang Zoom!.
Miya Chinen
Miya Chinen is the character of the Japanese anime series Sk8 the Infinity. He is a student from an elite middle school. Furthermore, he has applied for a member of Japan’s National team for skateboarding. He lost with Langa Hasegawa in the race. He feels too upset about it. Reki comforts him for it and Miya develops a strong friendship bond with Reki Kyan and Langa Hasegawa
The Japanese voice actor, Takuma Nagatsuka portrayed the character. Some of his projects include My Hero Academia, Divine Gate, and The Rolling Girls.
Also, for the English dubbed version the American voice actor Ryan McKeand provided the voice. He has worked for FUNimation Entertainment, Studio Nano, Sound Cadence Studios, and Sentai Filmworks.
Tadashi Kikuchi
Tadashi Kikuchi is the character from the Japanese series Sk8 the Infinity who is known as “Snake” at the “S”. Ainosuke Shindo taught him how to skate. Furthermore, he is also the secretary of Ainosuke Shindo. Basically, he stays at the security camera and provides hints to Adam about where the opponents are. As he was the son of the servant he worked for the Shindo family since his childhood
The Japanese voice for the character is provided by Japanese actor and singer Kensho Ono. Some of his projects include Attack On Titan, Kuroko’s Basketball, and Seraph of the End.

Kojiro Nanjo
Kojiro Nanjo is also known as “Joe” in the “S”. He is a very skillful skater. Moreover, he is the founder of the illegal race at the mine named “S”. He was good friends with Karou and Adam. But Adam goes to America while Karou and Adam have skate beef. As a result, Kojiro has bad blood with Adam as Adam betrayed him and Karou.
The Japanese actor and voice actor has played the character Kojiro Nanjo. He is affiliated with Sigma Seven.
The American voice actor Jonah Scott provided the English voice for the character. He works for Funimation, SDI Media, and Bang Zoom! Entertainment.
Ainosuke Shindo
Ainosuke Shindo is the main antagonist of the Japanese anime series Sk8 the Infinity. In “S”, he is famous with his alias name, Adam. As a stater, he is one of the strongest. Shindo started his journey during his childhood. Since then, he had developed skills including general prowess, speed, and tricks. Besides that, he has very keen observation skills along with unique skills as a stater.
Apart from being a stater, he is a politician leading a double life. Moving towards his relationships, he shares a strong bond with his friends with Kojiro and Karou. They created the illegal racing at mine and called “S”.
They force skaters to skate on dangerous paths. However, Shindo left Kojiro and Karou and move to America when his father found his interest in sports rather than politics. Later, he returned as an adult to Okinawa for a political career and he manages to observe “S” without being involved in it until Langa appeared.
The Japanese voice actor, Takehito Koyasu provided the voice for Ainosuke Shindo. He is associated with and representative of T’s Factory.

Kaoru Sakurayashiki
Kaoru Sakurayashiki is also known as the Cherry Blossom in “S”. As well as, he is the founding member of “S”. He is a skillful skater of “S” who uses AI skateboard. He becomes a good friend with Adam and Kojiro but Kojiro left for America which affects him and Kajiro a lot.
Apart from being a skater, he is also a professional AI calligrapher. However, he dedicates most of his time to skating.
The voice artist, Hikaru Midorikawa contributes voice for the character. Currently, He is with Aoni Production.
Whereas, the English voice for the character is provided by the American voice actor, Daman Mills.
Hiromi Higa
Hiromi Higa is also known as Shadow in “S”. He is infamous for his rowdiness and violent behaviors during his race. On the contrary, he is a calm and kind person when he works at his flower shop, Tulip. In addition to that, he even becomes friends with Reki Kyan and Langa Hasegawa.
The Japanese voice actor and narrator Kenta Miyake portrayed the character. As of now, the talent management agency, 81 Produce manages him.

Shokichi Oka
Shokichi Oka is the character of the Japanese anime series Sk8 the Infinity. He is a manager of a skateboarding shop which has a name called DOPE SKETCH. Furthermore, Reki Kyan and Langa Hasegawa work at his shop. Shokichi Oka is also one of the reasons for introducing Langa to “S”.
The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor Kenta Okuma. Some of his projects include My Hero Academia, Attack On Titan, and Kuroko’s Basketball.
Heading towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor Zeno Robinson provided the voice. He has also won Best VA Performance in The Anime Awards 2021.
Kiriko Kamata
Kiriko Kamata is a good Inspector and works in Ainosuke Shindo’s political corruption case. She wants Shindo does not to go away with the false testimony. Unfortunately, her investigation termination took place as it failed. Then after she returns to Tokyo.
The Japanese voice actress and narrator Takako Honda has provided the voice for Kiriko Kamata. Currently, she works for Office Osawa as a voice talent.
The American voice actress Elizabeth Maxwell provided the English voice for Kiriko Kamata.
Masae Kyan
Masae Kyan is the mother of Reki Kyan. She smiles and enjoys their children’s happiness and cooks delicious food.
The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actress Keiko Fukushima. Some of her projects include Detective Conan, High School of the Dead, and Galaxy Angel.
Nanako Hasegawa
Nanako Hasegawa is the character of the Japanese anime series Sk8 the Infinity. She is the mother of Langa Hasegawa.
She spent her childhood as a child in Japan. Later, she moved to Canada with her husband, Oliver. When he died, she and Langa return to Japan two years after the death of her husband. She loves her son very much.
The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese actress, Mie Sonozaki.
