Wind Breaker

Wind Breaker is the Japanese manga series that serialized by the manga writer and illustrator, Satoru Nii. The manga was serialized in January 2021. As of now, the series has 18 volumes of manga.

Later, the manga was animated and released on the 5th of April 2024. The anime was written by the Japanese anime screenwriter, Hiroshi Seko. Sero is prominently known for his association for anime including Attack on Titan, Chainsaw Man, and Jujutsu Kaisen.

Wind Breaker- Plot

The plot of the anime follows the life of protagonist, Haruka Sakura a first-year student at Furin High School. Haruka is renowned for his delinquent attitude and lack of social skills. He is just transferred to Furin High School and wanted the top spot of the high school as the fighter.

Wind Breaker- Characters

Haruka Sakura

Sakura is the protagonist of the anime. The first-year student at the Furin High School is a member of local delinquent group, Bofurin. Talking about his physical appearance, he has heterochromia, with right eye blue and left eye yellow. Further, he also lacks social communication skills. Due to his unconventional appearance and communication skills, he had a quite rough childhood and developed the lonely attitude and become a quite a skilled fighter due to the harsh environment and treatment.

After getting transferred to Furin High School, he developed quite a bond with his school friends and group member of Bofurin. The character is voiced by the Japanese voice actor, Yuma Uchida. Also, the American Voice actor, Austine Tindle voice the character.

Hajime Umemiya

Hajime Umemiya is the leader of the local delinquent group, Bofurin. Umemiya is a third-year student at Furin High School. He has a friendly and easygoing persona and has a warm personality despite going through a very tough time during his childhood.

Born on the loving and caring household, he a loving family until 9 years old. When he was 9 years old, both his father and mother were killed road accident. During the time, his mother was expecting. After the death of his parents, he was forced to enter into foster care system changing one facility to other facility prior he arrived to Furien.

When he arrived at Furien, he also attempted for suicide. However, a 3rd year old student at Furin High School saved him and gave him a purpose of the life which led to establishment of Bofurin.

Talking about the voice, the Japanese voice actor, Yuichi Nakamura voice the character. Nakamura is well known for his voice in the anime including Fairy Tail, My Hera Academia, and Jujutsu Kaisen as Satoru Gojo. Moving forward, the character is voice by the English voice actor, Aaron Campbell.

Akihiko Nirei

Nirei is a second-year student at the Furin High School. He is also a member of Bofurin. Since his middle school days, he constantly faced bullying. However, the cycle of bullying stopped when he was saved by a student of Furin High School. This incident of his childhood inspired him to become a hero and saved the people of the town as he was saved. In the way of fulfilling his dream, he joined the group, Bofurin.

The character is voiced by the Japanese voice actor and singer, Shōya Chiba. Talking about the English voice, Bryson Baugus voiced the character. Previously, Baugus voiced in the anime series such as The Witch and the Beast, Solo Leveling, and Oshi no Ko.

Hayato Suo

Suo is other hero of the series, Wind Breaker. He is a First-year student of Furin High School. Also, he is a member of Bofurin. Unlike Sakura and Akihiko, he a mischievous persona with a bright smile which able to cheat anybody. His personal details regrading his family background and past life is a mystery for everybody.

He is kind to everybody and never shows his true emotions in front of others. On contrast, he is a great fighter was strong since his middle school. He has a unique fighting styles and that resembles both Kung Fu and Aikido. From his master, he learnt both the fighting styles and later, he ended mixing both fighting styles that gave him a unique fighting styles.

Talking about the voice of character, the Japanese voice actor, Nobunaga Shimazaki. The award wing voice actor, Shimazaki is popular for his voice in anime including Blue Lock as Seishirō Nagi and Jujutsu Kaisen 2nd Season as Mahito. Heading towards the English dubbed, he Dallas Reid voiced the character. In this year, he contributed voice to the character, Delico’s Nursery as Keith and Quality Assurance in Another World as Yamanaka.
