Baki Hanma

Baki Hanma is martial arts Japanese manga and anime series. The manga is written and illustrated by the Japanese Manga Artist, Keisuke Itagaki. Also, the manga was first serialized in October 1991, in Weekly Shōnen Champion. The manga focuses on the guy whose name is Baki Hanma.

Moving towards the anime, the anime was first aired on September 30, 2021. The anime is directed by the director Toshiki Hirano. Moreover, the anime got licensed by Netflix.

BAKI HANMA- Main Plot

The anime is the sequel to the stories of Baki. Also, Baki Hanma is the son of Yujiro Hanma. Yujiro Hanma stands as one of the strongest fighters to be alive on earth. The first two seasons of the anime follow Baki’s fights and his tournament-related things. Whereas Baki Hanma also possesses the same kind of fights and story but the story slowly paces up.

The main plot of Baki Hanma focuses on the Baki getting attraction to Biscuit Olivia. Biscuit generally is the fighter who is not famous around the globe and stayed in the eyes since the first season. As of now, he is present in jail. In order to fight him Baki force himself to be to jail and fight with that unfamous boy. Besides, Biscuit the prison contains lots of other characters that are involved in the fighting. As well, when the Baki Hanma anime comes to end, it shows some possibility of another season too.

1. Baki Hanma

Baki Hanma is the main character of the series. Moreover, he is the son of one of the strongest fighters whose name is Yuujiro Hanma. As of now, he is also strong as he started his training at three years old. At the training, he learns about martial arts. In addition, when he becomes 13 years old, he thinks that he can train on his own. As a result, he tells the coach to provide him with the very hardest training. When he comes to know about his father’s true colors, he wants to kill his father too. Moving on, he takes part in a tournament where he fights his brother at the finals. Even more, he possesses some devil at his back which he finally overcome. And that happened when Baki and his brother were fighting at the tournament.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer Kappei Yamaguchi. Some of his projects include One Piece, Cowboy Bepop, and Beyblade.

Moving towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor, script adaptor, voice director, pianist, and vocalist James Carter Cathcart provided the voice.

2. Yuujiro Hanma

Yuujiro Hanma has a son whose name is Baki Hanma. Furthermore, he is one of the strongest men alive in the world who has mastered many fighting styles. Likewise, the fighting styles include boxing, karate, judo e t.c. Besides it, he is fighting only with his skills without using weapons. As well, he has also provided some help to the country by fighting against America in Vietnam War. As a result, he gains good respect from America. Even more, the way fights without any fear but with pleasure. It said that at that time some demon mark appears at the back of the body.

The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese voice actor Kenji Nomura. In this anime world, he is known for providing the voice for anime like Detective Conan, One Piece, and The Wallflower.

Heading towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor Matthew Tompkins provided the voice.

3. Biscuit Olivia

Biscuit Olivia is one of the assassins that belongs to America. In addition, he has added iron to his body and fought against many things. Moreover, he has learned a special technique that has provided him with the perfect muscle. Even more, the muscle adds more benefits for him while fighting with rivals. As he can use the muscle for crushing his rivals. Besides the body, he has a good thinking capacity too. Though he is a very rude, rough, and tough man, it is good to spend time with him. Furthermore, he often keeps a smile on his face too.

The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese voice actor and narrator Hōchū Ōtsuka.

Whereas, the English voice for the character is provided by the American voice, film and television actor James C. Mathis III.

4. Jun Guevaru

Jun Guevaru is one of the strongest people along with the two Biscuit Olivia and Yuujiro Hanma. Moreover, he is also one of the great pirates who used to roam around the seas. As well, he travels to the seas with the motive to find his sovereign country which named is La Serna. As of now, he got prisoned because he threatened George W Bush and his family. Besides, his fighting technique does not include any weapons. Further, he only fights with his hand and can kill rivals with his bare hand. Though the enemy is carrying a weapon or gun, he can win over them with his style of fighting.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actor and singer Kenji Nojima.

Also, the English voice for the character is provided by the American voice actor Nicolas Roye.

5. Iron Michael

Iron Michael is a boxing champion who has already won the heavyweight boxing champion. Even more, he does not like a weak opponent to fight in battle. Likewise, when he fights with a strong opponent, he gives them respect by taking his glove off. Furthermore, no matter where he is living he loves his hometown very much. As well, he accepts challenges from anyone besides those who fight with the help of the weapon. Because he has a passion for boxing. According to him the weight of the fighter determines the power of the punch. The reason why he goes to jail is still a mystery.

The Japanese voice for the character is voiced by the Japanese voice actor Yauhiro Mamiya. Some of his projects include Dragon Ball Super, Boruto, and South Park.

The English voice for the character is provided by the American voice, film, and television actor Bumper Robinson.

6. Bob McCarthy

Bon McCarthy is working as a prison officer in the prisons where Baki and Olivia are kept. Moreover, he finds out about the fight between Olivia and Baki. But he does not stop then whereas he watches the fight until the very end. Further, he gets blown off by the fight and was very astonished. Besides him, other prison officer does not fear Olivia and Baki. After watching and knowing everything about them he is only the prison officer who fears them. Moving on, he seems intelligent as he can recall every moment that was happened in his past.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese actor, voice actor, and narrator Masashi Ebara. In this anime world, he is known for providing a voice for anime like Cowboy Bepop, One Piece, and No Guns Life.

7. Gerry Strydum

Gerry Strydum is working at the post of general in the U.S Army. Further, when we were fighting in the Vietnam War, he encounters Yuujiro as his enemy. Moreover, Yuujiro was about to kill him in the war. From this, he admires the strength and fighting of Yuujiro. As of now, he travels towards the world fighting with Yuujiro. After all, he draws a conclusion that the only reason the U.S army comes to its knees was because of Yuujiro. Moving on, he can counter his mentality and thoughts but cannot counter his moves while fighting. Besides it, Gerry is a very tough guy, collected, and cares for the people he loves.

The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese actor and voice actor Takaya Hashi.

Heading towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor and voice-over coach Mick Wingert provided the voice.

8. Rumina Ayukawa

Rumina Ayukawa is a student who often gets challenged by his friends. One day after getting a challenge from his friend, he goes to challenge Baki Hanma. Further, getting an impression from him Baki takes him to his home. And teaches one of the fighting styles which is called shadowboxing. As well, he is very frightened and has lack courage. But she still has some courage as she traveled to challenge Baki who is also a thug. Moving on, she develops more information and technique about boxing.

The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese voice actress Megumi Han.

Whereas, the English voice for the character is provided by the American voice actor A.J. Beckles.
