The Aquatope on White Sand is a drama and slice of life is a television series which is produced by P.A. Works. The anime was first aired on July 9, 2021. Also, the anime is directed by the director Toshiya Shinohara and written by Yūko Kakihara. As of now, the anime has completed its first season with 24 episodes.

Main Plot

The main plot of the anime follows a girl whose name is Fuuka Miyazawa. As well, she quits her ambition to become an idol. But she does not return home and goes on a journey that she also didn’t have planned. Then, she finds nowhere to go and roams around here and there with a heavy heart. Further, she goes unknowingly until she reaches Gama Gama Aquarium.

Due to a lack of customers coming to the hotel, the renovation of the institution was not started. In addition, to keep it running they must add most of the money to it. The directors’ granddaughter who is very loved by aquatic life starts and determines the cost to make it run.

Additionally, Fuuka asks for her recruitment to their institution after seeing the charm of the aquarium. Whereas, Kukuru thinks that she is very hard on others to handle. The anime keeps on moving with the question can Kukuru and Fuuka be able to save the institution?

Characters

1. Fuuka Miyazawa

Fuuka Miyazawa is one of the main protagonists of the series. Furthermore, she is an old idol and has already given up on that. As her new ambition, she is living in Okinawa. In addition, the main reason she left her life as an idol as she was not able to maintain her career. Later, she found an institution called Gama Gama and quickly got attached to it. Even more, the place becomes a safe place and her desired place to live in. Additionally, she wants people to know her true intention and the colors she has. And she is very happy to work for Gama Gama.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actress and singer Rikako Aida. Some of her projects include Sagrada Reset, Pop Team Epic, and Val x Love.

2. Kukuru Misakino

Kukuru Misakino is another main protagonist of the two main characters. Though she is a young girl of 19 years old, she works as a director at Gama Gama Aquarium. Also, she started to work there in the recent summer. Further, in the institution, there are various workers among them she is mostly attached to the aquarium. But she comes to the decision of closing it because she does not have enough income to run it. Moving on, she is a very generous and kind girl. Whereas, she turns very harsh if someone tends to do or talk bad about the aquarium.

The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese voice actress and singer Miku Itō. In this anime world, she is known for providing a voice for anime like Black Bullet, Million Doll, and Sword Art Online.

3. Kuuya Yakamashi

Kuuya Yakamashi is also working at the institution which name os Gama Gama Aquarium. In addition, he does not like to involve with most of the characters due to his cold nature. At the Gama Gama Aquarium, he is a very hard-working worker. Additionally, when he gets alcohol or finds out about alcohol he seems to have more energy. Besides, he has very immature behavior while talking to others. Whereas, he acts very well when he is working at the Gama Gama Aquarium. As he loves alcohol very much among which he loves the wine which is made by Kukuru’s grandmother.

The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese voice actor Yōhei Akazami.

4. Karin Kudaka

Karin Kudaka was a former worker at the organization which name is Okinawa Tourism Association. The organization mainly focuses to provide a good facility for tourists. As of now, she is working at the Tingarla Aquarium. Though she has switched jobs she is also good at doing her work at Tingarla Aquarium.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actress Lynn.

5. Kai Nakamura

Kai Nakamura has a younger brother whose name is Maho Nakamura. Moreover, he also has a good friend during his childhood whose name is Kukuru Misakino. In addition, he is helping his father in his job which is fishing. Additionally, his father is a good fisherman.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese actor and voice actor Shimba Tsuchiya. Some of her projects include Police in a Pod, Haikyuu, and Love All Play.

6. Chiyu Haebaru

Chiyu Haebaru is also working at Tingaria Aquarium. Further, she has a very good appearance and is most appreciated for having a good appearance.
