Visual Prison

Visual Prison is music and supernatural Japanese anime television series. On October 9, 2021, the anime was first aired on Network Tokyo MX. The anime is directed by the directors Takeshi Furuta and Tomoya Tanaka. Also, the anime is written by Yukie Sugawara and produced by A-1 Pictures.

Main Plot

The main plot of anime is based on a singing competition of vampires. Vampires have existed for a long time ago. Once a year, a visual prison occurs. At that time, the vampires have a singing competition. The one winning the competition is rewarded with great power by Scarlet Moon. The strong team in the competition are ECLIPSE, the old champion, and LOST EDEN which believes only strong ones should rule.

The story spins around the lonely boy Ange Yuki. Moreover, he goes to Harajuku to search for the musician he used to follow. But he gets stuck in a live performance clash between LOST EDEN and ECLIPSE. As well, he gets amazed by their performance. Later, he gets collapses. Because as a vampire, he faces bloodlust.

When he woke up he found himself in the care of Guiltia Brion. Brion is also a musician whom he loves to listen. Then, he learns that he is half-vampire and half-human. In addition, he meets a foreigner from England with a good voice. The day for the competition was also coming near. And Ange has to manage a strong team in a short period of time.

1. Ange Yuki Of Visual Prison

Ange Yuki is a very strong-hearted boy. Being unable to manage his hometown he comes to Tokyo, Harajuku. Also, he loves music very much. Since his childhood, he was in love with music. As well, he loves the music of Gil from ECLIPSE. Furthermore, he also wants to participate in the visual prison.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer Shōya Chiba. Some of his projects include Seraph of the End, Classroom of the Elite, and Banana Fish.

2. Guiltia Brion

• Height: 185 cm
• Birthday: December 24

Guiltia Brion is also known as Gil. Even more, he was a member of the band named ECLIPSE. The band brings a new taste of music. But as of now, he is living by hiding from people. People around him are often get hurt by him. Because he always use to say anything without being unaware. The one to create the name eclipse was also him. As he gets the name from the Scarlet Moon.

The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese voice actor and singer Makoto Furukawa. Makoto was affiliated with SpaceCraft Entertainment.

3. Jack Mouton

Jack Mouton is a member of Los Eden. Robin is his twin brother. In addition, he likes to play prank games. Moreover, he is a very jealous person. To get rid of his jealousy he can do anything. Moving on, being a vampire he stays the same and is immortal. If he was not a vampire he may look alike his twin brother. Because of his childish nature he used to tease people.

The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese voice actor Shogo Yano. Shogo is affiliated with Super Eccentric Theatre.

4. Saga Latour

Saga Latour is a leader of team Los Eden. Also, he is the main vocalist of the Los Eden. Naturally, he is a very quiet person but his music is very strong and full of anger. On his radical thoughts, many vampires are afraid. His figure even attracts many people. As well, his age is  60 as shown in episode 8.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actor and singer Takuya Eguchi. Takuya is affiliated with 81 Produce. Some of his projects include Inazuma Eleven Go, Ace of Diamond, and Haikyuu!!.

5. Mist Flaive

Mist Flaive is also a leader of Los Edens. Furthermore, he is very mature and calm. Moving on, he does very hard work for the best outcome. Even more, he takes good care of his friends. Also, he is very amazed by Saga Latour and always keeps on supporting him.

The Japanese voice for the character is voiced by the Japanese voice actor Nobunaga Shimazaki. Nobunaga is affiliated with Aoni Production. At the 7th Seiyuu Awards, he won the Best Rookie Actor Award.

6. Veuve Elizabeth

Veuve Elizabeth is also a member of Los Edens. Besides his real name, he is also known as Beth. In addition, he owns a clothing store whose name is Rougeurian. And provide help for those who want beauty. Additionally, he also loves fashion and dressing up. Even more, he has a very good knowledge of magic. As well, his age is confirmed as 450 in episode 8.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor Takuma Nagatsuka. Some of his projects include SK8 the Infinity, My Hero Academia, and Divine Gate.

7. Dimitri Romanee

Dimitri Romanee is the vocalist of ECLIPSE. As of now, he is working with Hyde. Being a mature person he is very positive. Moreover, he is very confident. Also, he is very intelligent too. Along with Hyde and Guiltia they were turned by the same vampire in 1700, France. Biologically they are not brothers but they consider themselves vampire brothers. When he was a vampire, he was a nobleman.

The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer Toshiki Masuda. Toshiki is affiliated with SpaceCraft Group.

8. Hyde Jayer

• Birthday: February 14

Hyde Jayer is the vocalist of ECLIPSE. At present, he is working with Dimitri. Besides his bad attitude, he talks very well with Dimitri. They both were turned by the same vampire. Even more, they are not a biological brother but consider themselves vampire brothers. Along with Hyde and Dimitri, he is also 300 years old.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actor and singer Shouta Aoi. Some of his projects include Ace of Diamond, Magic-Kyun, and King of Prism.

9. Robin Laffite

Robin Laffite is the twin brother of Jack Mouton. Additionally, he is a good vocalist. In the music world, he also called a voice of an angel. Furthermore, he is very innocent and gets along with people very easily. In addition, he always catches the trend and loves sweet things.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actor Shun Horie. In the 12th Seiyuu Awards, he won the Best New Actor Award.

10. Eve Louise

Eve Louise is the character of Visual Prison. Even more, he is a good friend and housemate of Gil. Gil also takes good care of him but stays away from the world. Because he is not attached to the new trend. As well, Eve likes to drink the coffee that Gil made.

The Japanese voice for the character is voiced by the Japanese voice actress and singer Hiroki Nanami.

Why Watch Visual Prison?

If you love vampires and the clothing styles of vampires you will find the anime very interesting. The character design is very good. They also perform songs and it seems in a large place. The songs will excessively catch you to watch the anime. The singing performance even attracts you to listen to another song of the vampire.

Also, vampires have technology such as cellphone, etc. The vampires are shown modern and with trendy fashion. The characters will take you to catch them. Furthermore, it has a decent storyline up too. The episodes are only 20 minutes and you can binge the series in a short period of time.

Episode 1

Episode 1 begins in the same way that many anime do, at dusk in Tokyo. I’ve discovered the time of day when vampires rule. It is here that we meet the protagonist, Ange Yuki, a lonely young man. Thankfully, he has the power of music on his side. This is why our story is set in Harajuku in the first place.

Yuki also comes to Harajuku to see the concert. In addition, he watches the ECLIPSE conquering the world tour. And they sing the song in the Scarlet Moon, who watcher over vampires. Because vampires keep on fighting over blood. And Yuki gets swept as he faces bloodlust.
