Love of Kill

Love of Kill is a mystery, romance, and suspense Japanese manga and anime series. The manga was written and illustrated by the manga artist, Fe. In October 2015, the manga was first serialized in Media Factory’s shōjo manga magazine under Yen Press.

Moving towards the anime, the anime was first serialized on January 13, 2022, in Tokyo MX. The anime is directed by the director Hideaki Ōba and written by Ayumu Hisao. Also, the anime is licensed by Crunchyroll.

Main Plot

The main plot of the anime is based on bounty hunter Chateau Dankworth and professional hitman Son Ryang-ha. To invite Chateau in date, Son Ryang-ha keeps on following her. But Chateau refuses him for it. As well as he saves Chateau from attack and seems to know her previous activities.

They both then become the target of Donald Bachman. Even more, they both are forced to confess their past. This reveals that Chateau is the daughter of the Nobel family. Her father is a French aristocrat. Moreover, she was targeted by her father’s stepbrother named Nelson Nobel. The real Ryang-ha was ordered to protect Chateau. Whereas, the current Ryang-ha is a child trafficking victim saved by real Ryang-ha.

Love of Kill Characters

1. Dankworth of Love of Kill

Chateau Dankworth is newly member as a bounty hunter for Ritzland support. She does not believe in Ryang-ha and keeps on refusing him. Donald later catches her, which makes her remember her real past. The daughter of the Nobel family is to be protected by Ryang-ha. Also, Chateau accidentally fires the bullet in Ryang-ha one arm during the mission.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actress Saori Ōnishi. Saori is affiliated with I’m Enterprise.

Moving towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actress Erin Yvette provided the voice.

2. Ryang-ha Song of Love of Kill

Ryang-ha Song is an assassin whose true identity is unknown. Furthermore, once he deals with the underworld. And many organizations are searching for him as he has a high amount of bounty on his head. Additionally, he does his job very well. Even more, he seems to like Chateau. Since meeting Chateau he often meets brokers to know more about her. After they both were been chased by Donald, it is revealed that he is a nameless victim of child trafficking.

The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese voice actor and singer Hiro Shimono. Hiro is affiliated with I’m Enterprise. Some of his projects include Attack On Titan, My Hero Academia, and Black Clover.

Heading towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor Ryan Colt Revy provided the voice.

3. Donald Bachmann

Donald Bachmann is a supporting character in the series. He is also known as Donny. Also, he owns the organization based out of the port city of Barosela. In addition, he is also known as Trigger. Orphans are trained by him to make his organization powerful. The one to send an assassin after Ryang-ha was him.

The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese voice actor and the narrator Hōchū Ōtsuka provides the voice. Hōchū is affiliated with the talent management firm Crazy Box.

4. Euripedes Ritzland

Euripedes Ritzland is also known as Boss. The boss seems to be very expert in dealing with the underground. Chateau often makes him busy as she gets out of control without any issues. Furthermore, he is very quiet and calm. Though he seems to be very young he is 25 years old.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actor Kenyu Horuichi. In this anime world, she is known for providing a voice for anime like Bleach, Gintama, and Bakuman.

5. Won Jinon

Won Jinon is a supporting character in the series and a member of Donny’s organization. Though he looks young he is a very aggressive assassin. His skills at using the knife are very good. Also, he has the habit of speaking very politely.

The Japanese voice for the character is voiced by the Japanese voice actor Ayume Murase. Ayume is affiliated with the agency VIMS. Some of her projects include Sword Art Online, Fairy Tail, and Haikyuu!!!.

6. Jim

Jim is an Indian whose personal details are unknown. Also, Jim is from India and works as a secretary at Ritzland Support. At the Ritzland Support Company, he works as an accountant. Being an Indian he speaks in a unique way. Though he keeps marching on his own drumbeat he is very good at his work. Sometimes he speaks harshly which creates a problem, especially with the Boss.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor Kōhei Amasaki. Kōhei is affiliated with I’m Enterprise. At the 13th Seiyu Award, he won Best New Actor Award and Singing Award.

7. Hou

Hou was a member of an agency named Ryan-ha Song. Even more, he has issues with Ryan-ha and a personal rival with him. Though he is emotional he appears cool-headed. On his left cheek, he also has a very unique tattoo.

The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese voice actor Tomoaki Maeno. Some of his projects include Inazuma Eleven Go, Another, and Haikyuu!!.

8. Nikka

Nikka is a supporting character in the series. Also, he is a member of Donny’s organization. Furthermore, he has very bad manners while speaking. Whereas he used to have fun in games of killing people. He also has an interest in Ryang-ha.

The Japanese voice for the character is portrayed by the Japanese actor, voice actor, and singer Masakazu Morita. In this anime world, he is known for providing a voice for anime like Bleach and Saint Seiya: Hades.

9. Mifa

Mifa is also a member of Donny’s organization. Also, Mifa does not talk too much but he is very interested in Donny. Towards Jonny, he acts very strictly out of nowhere.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actor Youko Hisaka.

Episode 1 of Love of Kill

Episode 1 of this anime is not much worth watching. The speed of the anime is very fast which makes it difficult to understand the plot of the anime. Everything shown in the episode was fine but the things were not flowing together. They showed the plot in half of the episode which they can make complete in an upcoming episode of the anime.

The first episode starts with the dark world. The anime shows the underground dealings and people are always looking for competition. The last of the characters is shown in the first episode. Also, the episode revolves around Ryang-ha who keeps on flirting with women in the entire episode. The scene is framed as a romantic comedy.

The episode is also seen from the perspective of Chateau Dankworth. She often seems to question the guy about his actions. As the episodes keep on completing it will satisfy you.

Ryang-ha And Chateau Enemy Might Bring Back Them Together

In episode 2, Chateau still ignores Ryang-ha. As her Ryang-ha has been targeted by the anime she is also the one to face it off. While driving on the cliffway highway, Chateau gets attacked by the enemy of Ryang-ha. She falls towards the forest and finds out the enemy is a mark with a spider on his face. The assassin provides a message to her about Ryang-ha betraying the blond man which is an incident of the past. After Chateau tells him that he only has the two clues the blond man and the broken phone of Chateau.

This time they have a common enemy. Which makes her not ignore Ryang-ha and go to a safe place with him. As well as Chateau also knows that she has been helped by Ryang-ha. Besides, their common enemy of them could make them have a bond together. Even more, knowing the back story of Ryang-ha about why the enemies are after him and why is so interested in her. It can make her more involved with Ryang-ha. It’s the only chance for Ryang-ha to win her trust Similarly, from it she can determine whether is even a good partner or not.
