Who is Megumi Fushiguro?

Megumi Fushiguro is one of the protagonists of the Japanese anime and manga series Jujutsu Kaisen. Currently, Fushiguro is a grade two Jujutsu sorcerer.

He is a student at Tokyo Jujustu High along with Yuji Itadori. Adding on, he is a descendant of the Zenin family.

Who are the voice actors for Megumi Fushiguro?

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor, Yuma Uchida. Whereas, the English voice for the character is portrayed by the American voice actor, Robbie Daymond.

Appearance

Megumi is a slim and tall boy, with a height of 5 feet 9 inches. Also, he has 60 kg of weight. The color of his hair is like spikes and is black. Adding on, the color of his eyes is dark blue. Most of the time, he seems to be wearing the uniform of Jujutsu High, which consists of a blue jacket and a long-sleeved white shirt.

Megumi Fushiguro Family and Background

Megumi’s father’s name is Toji Fushiguro who is actually from the Zenin family. Adding on, Toji also does not have any curse energy. So, his father was treated very badly. As a result, he leaves the Zenin family and becomes an assassin who kills the Jujutsu sorcerer.

Later, Toji marries Megumi’s mom and changes his name too. Then, Toji starts to live a very good life, but Megumi’s mother dies after some time. The real reason for it is still a mystery in the series, whereas the fans expect it to be the work of the Zenin clan.

The incident caused his father to marry another wife and disappear with her. He also has a child with his second wife named Tsumiki Fushiguro. Who killed Megumi Fushiguro’s father, Toji Fushiguro?

The one to kill Megumi’s father, Toji Fushiguro is Satoru Gojo. His father was on a mission to kill the star plasma vessel for Master Tengen named Riko Amanai.

At the time, Gojo was an escort for Amanai along with Satoru Geto. Hence, Toji fought against Geto and Gojo for killing the star vessel. At the battle, he nearly killed Gojo first and found against Geto and killed Riko by shooting her in the head.

Moving forwards, Toji once again fought with Gojo. This time, Gojo managed to win the battle using Hollow Technique: Purple which happens to be his family’s secret technique which killed Megumi’s father. If Gojo had not been able to kill Megumi’s father, Megumi’s life would be different now.

Megumi has a high level of curse energy

Megumi is a young, brilliant student at Jujutsu High. He has huge strength and huge curse energy. Due to his huge amount of curse energy, Sukuna also wants to possess the body of Megumi.

Even more, he can also create weapons through his cursed energy. Also, if he manages to fully utilize his Shikigami, he will be one of the jujutsu sorcerers with great curse energy. Sukuna takes control of Megumi Fushiguro

The series takes a different twist in the final arc. Sukuna is able to take Megumi’s body. The curse has taken the body of Megumi’s sister, Tsumiki. This incident leaves Megumi paralyzed. As we know, Sukuna has an agreement with Itadori. He can, however, only use him in limited circumstances because they have an agreement.

Along with the agreement, he takes control over his body using Kurusu. While having control over Itadori’s body, Sukuna feeds Itadori’s finger to Megumi. As Megumi eats the finger of Itadori, all of the cursed energy is transferred to Megumi. Thus, Sukuna has control over Megumi and can find his new host.
