Yor Forger

Yor Forger is the character of the Japanese anime, Spy x Family. She is an assassin who is married to Loid Forger. She also has an adopted daughter whose name is Anya. As of now, she is 27 years old. Adding on, she is also known by her code name, Thorn Princess.

The Japanese voice for her is provided by the Japanese voice actress, Saori Hayami. Whereas, the English voice for the characters was contributed by the American voice actress, Natalie Van Sistine.

1. Yor is an Orphan

Yor and her family actually uses to reside in the east of Nielsburg. At an early age, her parents die. As a result, she starts living with her brother and taking care of him.

Also, they were very poor and she wants to increase the finance to support her brother. She became an assassin and gets the money. From this, she was able to buy Yuri educational materials. She was even hired by the ministry of foreign affairs. But, she keeps on working as an assassin.

2. Yor is a good sister

Yor is a brother of Yuri Briar. She started looking for and caring for her brother since seven years old. The parents of her brother were Yor herself. Additionally, she use to cook food and educate him on her own. For doing so much for Yuri, he also appreciates and loves his sister a lot.

Her brother is also working as an agent. Doing such things for her brother really makes her a good sister.

3. Yor has a good choice of clothes

As we know, her husband Loid is a good dresser. Likewise, her husband also has a good dressing sense. Her dresses are a good combination of both classic and flashy.

While moving out, she never fails to look beautiful as ever. At Anya’s school Eden Academy, she and her husband both were seeming to look best with their quite sharp dressing sense.

4. Thorn Princess is the best assassin

As we all know that Yor main job is not clerical work. Whereas, she is working as a secret assassin. The reason she stands as the best assassin is she is very good in martial arts and very good in hand-to-hand combats.

Besides, she is also good at using knives and needles at the target she wants to. Though, she is an assassin she does not seems to be dangerous and is like a villain. But, she looks beautiful and seems like she is not an assassin.

5. Yor has good stamina and intelligence

Besides, her martial arts and skills, she has good stamina and durability too. Even though she was injured, she was able to kill 22 assassins on her own without stopping a single bit of time.

Along with it, she also has good intelligence. But, it is lesser than compared to Loid. A good example of her intelligence is she knocked out the crazy cow at Eden’s Academy knowing how to stop it.

6. Yor Can’t Cook

As above, we talked about the abilities and intelligence of Yor. Along with it, she has weaknesses too. One of her main weaknesses is lying. She feels hard to make up and manage things. Adding on, her other weakness is cooking food.

Among all of them, her main weakness stands to be alcohol. But she can indeed tolerate and carry the poison. The difficulties only arise for her when it’s the alcohol. Even though, she drinks a lot of alcohol in a short period of time. Whereas, sometimes she directly drinks through the bottle without using the glasses.

7. When is Yor Birthday

In the second episode of the series, her personal file was revealed. Her id was 0712843. Along with it, there is the date mentioned which is 06 April 63. But it is not confirmed whether it is her date of becoming an assassin or her birthdate.

Even though, we already know that Yor is 27 years old. It can be only known when the calendar year of the series will be revealed. Because some of the series have their respective calendar year. So, the birthdate on her id remains as one a secret.

8. The things Yor likes and dislikes

Moving towards the things she likes, she likes to eat an apple a lot. Along with it, she loves different kinds of paintings too. Also, she even likes various types of weapons. When she was a child, her favorite candy was the one with the flavor of apple.

Heading towards her dislike, she hates the insects. She hates them even to see. Additionally, she cannot even watch the picture of them.

9. Meaning of Yor’s name

Most of the people watching Spy x Family do not know that Yor is just her shorter name. the actual place where she was born was Yolanda. Yolanda is a greek and Spanish word. If we seek its meaning it means violet flower.

Further, her surname is Briar. Briar actually originated from the English word. As well, it has its own meaning too, which means thorny bush of the wild roses. As a result, it fits her code name, thorn princess.

10. Yor is a good tutor

At a young age, she was the tutor of her brother. As of now, she uses to teach things to Anya. Actually, she used to help Anya with physical activities as Loid is the one who helps Anya with her studies.

Anya does training with her about, kicks and punches as Yor is too good at martial arts. Further, every kid should learn to defend themselves. So, Yor tries to teach her such activities to be safe on her own.
