Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches is a romantic comedy, harem, and supernatural Japanese anime and manga series. The manga was first serialized on February 22, 2012, in Weekly Shōnen Magazine. Also, the manga is written and illustrated by the Manga Artist, Miki Yoshikawa. As of now, the manga has completed 26 lists of volumes.

Moving towards anime, the anime was first aired on April 15, 2015, on Network, Tokyo MX. The anime is directed by the director Tomoki Takuno. Altogether, there are 12 episodes up to now.

Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches- Main Plot

The main plot of the anime follows a young student, Ryuu Yamada. In addition, to have his career ahead he joins a high school named Suzaku High. Even more, he was aware that if he joins there no one will know about his violent type of reputation. Heading on, as the year passes he feels bored there as he reaches the second year in high school. Later, it makes him fall back into his old nature lazy and poor in grades.

One day, when he returns from the office he meets a very good student, Urara Shiraishi. While walking ahead they both fall and have an unconditional kiss. Whereas, the kiss between them let them know that they can even switch their body through the kiss. Further, the skills can be very useful but even more problematic too.

After it, they got a chance to join the Supernatural Studies Club from a student council officer and member of the Supernatural Studies Club, Toranosuke Miyamura. Additionally, the club used to discover the legend of the Seven Witches present in Suzaku High. Likewise, Yamada, the seven witches has also gained power through the help of the kiss. Heading on, they move to their first mission which is to learn to identify every witch.

Ryu Yamada

Ryu Yamada is the main protagonist of the Japanese anime series Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. Also, Yamada seems very young boy with blue eyes and spiky hair. Even more, in the anime, he seems to be wearing a school uniform most of the time.

Furthermore, he used to be very lazy, and to overcome and succeed in life he joins Suzaku High. Whereas, he loose interest when he reaches the second year. So, he wants to become lazy as he was before. But, he comes to know about his ability when he unconditionally kissed a girl, Urara Shiraishi. As a result, he was able to become a member of the Supernatural Studies Club.

Urara Shiraishi

Urara Shiraishi is a brilliant student and was a witch before. As of now, she is the president of the Supernatural Studies Club. Though she is president of the club, she has already loose her powers. In addition, she loses her power in order to fulfill her wish and Ryu Yamada was one to complete it. Along with her, all seven witches lost their power. Even more, she looks very attractive.

Additionally, she has such beauty without any makeup. Now, she is not as brilliant as she was before. Swapping her body with Ryu Yamada made her different from what she was before. Further, she is a very serious type of person and is serious most of the time.

Toranosuke Miyamura

Taranosuke Miyamura was president of the Student Council during his term. As of now, he is vice-president of the Supernatural Studies Club. Moving towards his personality, he is a very friendly person. Even more, he was only close with Ryu and Urara.

Also, they were his only friends whom he has invited to his home. Besides, he sometimes changes himself into a very pervert boy too. Though he has a different kind of personality, he is a very intelligent and trustworthy person. Because he is very loyal to his goals and friends. Further, according to anime, he has a huge friendship with Ryu Yamada.

Mikoto Asuka

Mikoto Asuka was a vice president of the Student Council too. Whereas, there were three vice presidents because of her ability and intelligence she was able to fall under one of three. Also, her ability to erase other memory helped her to become president of the Shogi club.

As well, she keeps on being with the president most of the time which makes her look-alike protective of the president. In addition, she can hurt anyone who comes between her goals. Even more, she is not able to control her anger. Adding on, she also tortured Ryu only because she fall for him. Altogether, she is an intelligent and athletic girl.

Rika Saionji

Rika Saionji is the seventh witch among all the seven witches. In addition, Rika is a very happy and cheerful person. Even though she is a cheerful person but when she is threatened she has a different aggressive side.

As she becomes the seventh witch, the story reveals that she was left alone. Her friends left her and it was all done as she became a witch. Further, she also keeps a secret about being a witch. Moving on, her amnesia power can make everyone forget about her too.

Meiko Otsuka

Meiko Otsuka is also a witch with the ability to telepathy. Also, she was in Rika Saionji’s set. Along with other witches, she also has her power after the first ceremony. Further, she feels very hard to talk with others because of her shy nature.

Whereas, she used her ability of telepathy in order to communicate with her classmates. Besides, she also feels very difficult in her academics too. In addition, she has a good habit of not being involved in fights too. Additionally, she was able to talk with people after meeting Shiraishi.

Nancy

Nancy is also a witch from this series. But, she is not from the first set whereas she is a witch from the second set. Heading towards her appearance, she used to wear the punk type of dress. As well as, she used to work in secret for better results.

Even more, she is very focused on her plan if she has one. Though, she used to have secrecy she is very loyal to her friends. Along with it, she is also jealous and feels very jealous when Ryu wants to have new witch powers. As a result, she also advises Ryu to show her the new witch power.

Yuri Miura

Yuri Miura is also a witch who can control the mind of Rui’s set. Also, his power is very incredible as he even used it to control his speech of Meiko at Student Council. As of now, he is a member of the Suzaku High School Student Council.

Most of the time, he used to keep his eyes closed. Even more, he completed his junior high at Genbu Junior High School. Furthermore, his ability can make him see what other people are thinking too. But, it has a weakness as it can be used on one person once. Altogether, he is also one of the strongest characters from the series.

Why Watch Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches?

Well, if you don’t like any rom-con anime the anime will make you startup for any other rom-con anime. Along with it, the anime has a 7.3 IMDb rating which shows this anime is also among the favorites of people. Even more, the jokes cracked in the anime are too laughable and are well attached to the plot too. Those anime fans who are rid of watching sad anime can prefer this anime.

Besides, body-swapping shown in anime can make you feel bad about the anime. Moving on, the main protagonist Yamada seems to be very funny. The opening of the anime is also very good. Adding on, the art is also done with a good job. Though the story is not unique, it will catch you up once you start watching the series.

Is there a chance of the second season of Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches?

It’s very sad news for anime fans as there is a very low chance of getting the second season of Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches. Also, the reason is its manga has already ended. So, there are fewer expectations to upgrade the plot. Even more, the anime was also not much popular among anime fans. As well as the series even don’t focus on plot twists. Therefore, there is a rare case for the release of the second season.
