Who is Sanemi Shinazugawa in Demon Slayer: Kimetsu No Yaiba?

Sanemi Shinazugawa is one of the members of the Demon Slayer Corps. Adding on, he is a Wind Hashira who uses Breath of Wind. He is also the brother of Genya Shinazugawa. As of now, he is 21 years old.

Who is the voice actor for Sanemi Shinazugawa?

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor, Tomokazu Seki. Whereas, the English voice for the character is contributed by the American voice actor, Kaiji Tang.

Appearance

Moving towards his appearance, Sanemi is a muscular guy with small, white, spiky hair. In addition, the color of his eyes is pale purple. He has a height of 5 feet 10 inches and a weight of 75 kg. He wears the Demon Slayer uniform, which is green in color. While wearing his dress, he exposes his chest by opening the button of the uniform.

The Backstory of Sanemi Shinazugawa

During his childhood, his mother was very beautiful and kind. His mother has seven children, and he was the eldest among them. Also, his mother loves all of the children, but his father was abusive and used to beat them. While beating the children, his mother used to take the hits. Later, his father is killed, and Genya tells Sanemi. Adding to that, Sanemi was happy after hearing it.

One day, his mother does not arrive home, so Sanemi goes in search of her. Her mother turned into a demon and attacked other children along with Genya. As a result, Genya has a mark on his face too. In the meantime, Sanemi arrives there and is only able to save Genya. Heading on, he can’t withstand the demon’s power, so he cuts the demon with his butcher knife. Later, when Genya appears, he thinks that Sanemi killed their mother.

This technique was created by one of the students of Yoriichi Tsukigini. The motive for creating it was that the student was not able to learn the sun breathing technique. The love interest of Sanemi Shinazugawa

Moving toward the love interest, the plotline does not follow any love relationship with Sanemi. But, according to the fan theory, Sanemi has a love interest in Kanae. They both meet each other when Sanemi becomes the Wind Hashira. Even more, he finds it very difficult to confess his feelings for fear of being rejected.

He shows his stamina and endurance during his battle with Kokushibo. At first, he was fighting Kokushibo and stopping him for a long period of time without a Demon Slayer Mark.

Yes, Sanemi Shinazugawa survived the last fight with Muzan Kibutsuji. But it was not a happy ending for him. At the fight, he gains the mark, which indicates that he will die by his 25^th birthday. Later, either his descendant or Sanemi reincarnates as a police officer in the final chapter of the series.
