The Strongest Sage With The Weakest Crest is an adventure and fantasy Japanese light novel and anime series. The light novel is illustrated by Huuka Kazabana. The light novel was first published on December 2026, on the user-generated novel publishing website Shōsetsuka ni Narō. Later, a manga was also adopted and serialized in July 2017 in the online manga magazine Manga UP!.
Moving towards the anime, the anime was first aired on January 8, 2022, on the Network, Tokyo MX. The anime is directed by director Noriaki Akitaya and written by Hiroki Uchida.
Main Plot
The plot of the anime follows Gaius, who is a mage. The mage is born with magical abilities. Also, he receives many of the crests and becomes very powerful. But that does not satisfy him and he wants to become more powerful. As a result, he wants to reincarnate in the future to become more powerful than he is now.
After thousands of years, he gets reincarnated as Mathias Hildesheimer. And he finally gets the long-time crest. Later, he comes to know that at that time, the magic has been illuminated. And those magic are compared to nonimportant things. Further, the crest he has been waiting for becomes the weakest.
Furthermore, he goes to the Academy. Whereas, he passes everything easily in the Academy. Later, he finds magical bad demons. As well, they have even overcome humans. Moving on, he wants to find the remedy after the long thousand years.

1. Matthias Hildesheimer
Matthias Hildesheimer is the third son of the family Hildesheimer. In his previous life, he was well known by the name Gaius.
