A Girl and Her Guard Dog is a romantic comedy Japanese anime and manga series. In addition, the manga was first serialized on December 13, 2018 in the magazine Bessatsu Friend. Also, the manga is written and illustrated by the manga artist, Hatsuharu. As of now, the manga has nine volumes.

Moving towards the anime, the anime was first aired on September 29, 2023, on the original network, Tokyo MX. Even more, the anime is directed by the director, Yoshihiro Takamoto. Project No. 9 anime studio has animated the anime.

Main Plot

The main plot of the series follows a girl whose name is Isaku. Unfortunately, her parents died when she was 5 years old. So, her grandfather adopts her in order to raise her. Even more, her grandfather is a gangster and is also a yakuza. It makes her friend stay away from her due to her family ties.

Isaku Senagaki

Isaku Senagaki is the main protagonist of the series. After the death of her parents, her grandfather is taking care of her. As her grandfather is a yakuza, she is not able to make friends. Heading on, she decides to go to high school as a normal student.

Even more, she is a very serious type of girl. She actually is not an anti-social type of person, but to her family as a yakuza, she seems like an anti-social girl.

Keiya Uto

Keiya Uto is a young boy who is working under the grandfather of Isaku Senagaki. From his appearance, he seems to be in his 20s and is a very handsome boy. Whereas, he is 26 years old in reality. To go to high school as Isaku, he lies about his age.

He goes to the same school as her in order to protect her. Even more, he is a person with a very kind personality. No matter what, he does his job very well and works seriously.

Mikio Tanuki

Mikio Tanuki is also a young boy who is reading in high school. In addition, he looks very handsome, with blonde hair and blue eyes. When he was very young, his parents abandoned him.

Kaori Sekiya

Kaori Sekiya works at the club. She works at the club as a hostess. The club she works at is run by the Senagaki yakuza. Also, she is a beautiful girl who used to wear a kimono. As well, she has brown hair.
