SSSS.Gridman

SSSS. Gridman is a kaiju, adventure, and mecha Japanese anime and manga series. The anime was first aired on October 7, 2018, on English Network, Adult Swim. Also, the anime is directed by the director Akira Amemiya and written by Keiichi Hasegawa. As of now, the anime contains 12 episodes.

Later, a manga was adapted and serialized on October 26, 2019, in Monthly Comic Alive. The manga is written and illustrated by the Manga Artist, Kei Toru. Moving on, the new manga keeps on coming out via different Manga artists.

SSSS.Gridman- Main Plot

The anime, SSSS.Gridman follows the character whose name is Yuuta Hibiki. One day, Yuuta wakes in his friend Rikka Takarada’s room. After some moments, he finds the two things. The two things include one is he forgets his memories and another is he hears a voice calling his name near him.

And, he wants to know more about it. After all, he finds out that the voice is of Hyper Agent Gridman as it represents itself with the name. Moreover, it was visualized behind the computer. When he was under surprise but Rikka was not able to hear Gridman. At that moment, Rikka sees some monster-like things attacking the city. To save humanity, Yuuta merges with the Gridman and goes to the battlefield to fight. And leads him with the ambition to find a person who is sending an ominous monster into the city.

1. Yuuta Hibiki

Yuuta Hibiki is the main protagonist of the series. Further, he is a high school student who lost his memory and choose to use the Gridman. Moreover, he is a very kind person who loves his friends and wants to save his city. Moreover, he is a repli-compoid human being. Besides it, the call that he gets from Agent’s host and his partner ver serious than other things. Though his body has the Gridman fragment, he still has feelings for Rikka.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor Yūya Hirose. Some of his projects include Cheer Boys!!, The Disastrous Life of Saiki K and Star-Myu.

Moving towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actor and translator Brandon Mclnnis provided the voice.

2. Rikka Takarada

Rikka Takarada is also working for the Gridman Alliance. In addition, Rikka is a very friendly person who is helping Yuuta to fight his disease of memory loss. Not only Yuuta, but she also loves all of her friends. Besides, she also helps needy people if they are not her friends. But when she is working at the Gridman Alliance, she maintains a demeanor with Yuuta and Sho. Additionally, when she doesn’t want to go to school she doesn’t even tell the school or her friends. As well, she is a very carefree person.

The Japanese voice for the character is contributed by the Japanese voice actress Yume Miyamoto. In this anime world, she is also known for providing a voice for various anime like Ghost Hunt, Dororo, and Blue Period.

Heading towards the English dubbed version, the American voice actress Jill Harris provided the voice.

3. Akane Shinjo

Akane Shinjo is the central antagonist in the series. Moreover, Akane is very kind and even provides Yuuta with a dog, when she finds him having lunch. Further, she easily sees anyone as an enemy who does her bad and wants to take revenge on them. As well, the dog provided to Yuuta gets down by a volleyball hitting it. And, Akane sends Ghoulghilas to kill the person who throws the volleyball as revenge. Because of it, havoc was created in the city. Even more, she nearly killed her home teacher too. Additionally, she can be easily made to do the things which one wants her to do. Similarly, when gets frustration she changes herself into a violent one.

4. Mujina

Besides, working at the Kaiju Eugenicists she also enjoys going to the water park, game center, and various places held in the city. Moving on, she wants to have a better life than she has now. But she loses the opportunity as she steals Dynastriker.

The Japanese voice for the character is played by the Japanese voice actress Ayaka Suwa.

Also, the English voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actress Kara Edwards.

5. Yume Minami

Yume Minami is reading in the high school which name is Fujiyoki High School. Further, she becomes a pilot and was assigned as the co-pilot of the Dynazenon. In addition, she often breaks the promise with various boys. But when she meets Gauma and Yomogi, that leads her to become a co-pilot of Dynazenon. After all, that leads her to tell and express everything to others. Even more, when she sees the dead body of Kano floating near her, attaching such kind of incidents she faces depression. Although, she has very experience and knowledge as a pilot.

The Japanese voice for the character is voiced by the Japanese voice actress Shion Wakayama. Some of her projects include Police in a Pod, Lycoris Recoil, and Takt Op. Destiny.

The English voice for the character is provided by the American voice actress and scriptwriter Kristen McGuire.

6. Yomogi Asanaka

Yomogi Asanaka is also the protagonist of the series. Also, he is reading at the Fujiyoki High School in the first year. Further, he has also become one of the co-pilots of the Dynazenon. In addition, his parents have already divorced each other. As a result, he wants to become independent and live alone in his life. Moreover, his mother often dates and visits different boys. Later on, he comes to realize that the problem he doesn’t hang out with his friend is not due to his parent’s divorce. As well as he also helps his friends and other who is in need, especially his girlfriend who has some problem with emotional issues.

The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actor Junya Enoki. In this anime world, he is known for providing a voice for anime like Sword Art Online, Haikyuu, and Parasyte.

7. Gauma
