World’s End Harem

World’s End Harem is an erotic thriller, harem, and science fiction Japanese anime and manga series. The manga was first serialized on May 8, 2016, in Shueisha’s online magazine Shōnen Jump+. The manga is written by LINK and illustrated by the Manga Artist, Kotarou Shouno. Further, the manga is divided into two parts and another part is known as World’s End Harem: After World.

Moving towards the anime, the anime was first aired on October 8, 2021, on Network, Tokyo MX. Also, the anime is directed by Studio Gokumi and AXsiZ. The anime is directed by the director Yū Nobuta.

Main Plot

The main plot of the anime takes place in the year 2040. Heading on, the plot focuses on the main protagonist of the series, Reito Mizuhara. Reito was suffering from a rare type of disease and the only way to save him was cryostasis. Cryostasis is an act of putting any biological things around -80 Celsius to -112 Fahrenheit. Adding on, it actually preserves the biological matter forming ice crystals without harming them. Later, in 2045 Reito awakens after 5 years.

When he wakes up he finds out that 99.9% of males suffered through a virus whose name was Man Killer. Further, he comes to know that only 5 men were living including him. As well, these 5 men were immune from this Man Killer virus. In order to continue humanity, he should take part in breeding new ones impregnating as many women as he can. Besides, he was even searching for his love Erisa too who was missing three years back. Can the main protagonist give continuity to the human world and find his true love or not?

Main Characters

Reito Mizuhara

Reito Mizuhara is the main protagonist of the Japanese anime series, World’s End Harem. He is also known as No 2. During his school days, he fell in love with his childhood friend Elisa Tachibana. Unfortunately, he suffered from a rare disease, cellular sclerosis. Due to this, he has had to go for cold sleep for around five years.

It was the only available option for him to be cured of this disease. As he wakes up after 5 years in 2045 from his cold sleep in 2040 he finds out about the rare disease. After this, he also knows that his love, Elisa has also gone missing. To continue humanity he was asked for mating in return for getting luxury items. But, because of his love for Elisa, he rejects it and promises to find the cure to the virus known as Man Killer.

Elisa Tachibana

Elisa Tachibana is old friend of Reito. She also read at National Advanced Medical High School. At that time, Reito fall for her and even confessed his feelings to her. After which the MK virus was spread all over the world. Further, which leads her to become the leader of the group known as Izanami.

Izanami is a terrorist group that actually does not agrees that any female should rule the world. Whereas, the group was looking for live men to impregnate the women in order to continue the generation.

Mira Suo

Mira Suo is the old secretary of the main protagonist, Reito Mizuhara. The only reason she was created was to produce offspring with Reito. Even more, to attract Reito for her she was even made similar to Reito’s love Elisa. So, being the same as Elisa she has tan skin with very long hair.

In addition, she seems to be a very quiet and polite type of person. While doing her work, she always thinks in her mind. Also, she hates to show any emotions to people. But, if her emotions matter towards Reito she is always ready to show it.

Shota Doi

Shota Doi also has another name which is No. 3. As of now, he is in third-year student. Adding on, he is reading at Keimon West Private High School. He looks short in height and used to have messy grey hair.

Also, he seems to be different as he does not like to involve with people too much. So, he has very less friends. Due to their personality, he is mostly hated by his classmates. Alike, Reito was also sleeping during the pandemic. As a result, he is alive at this current period of time.

Kyoji Hino

Kyoji Hino is the first one to get up from the cold sleep and know about the MK virus. Moving towards his appearance, he seems to be very young with a slim body.

When he comes to know about the reality of the MK virus, he blindly becomes a breeder. In addition, he also kicked out Karen as she made his mate breed with Shota Doi.

Takamatsu

Takamatsu is a student of Keimon West Private High School. Even more, he has his own group he used to lead known as the Takamatsu group. Also, he was on the football team in his High School.

Further, he was a very aggressive person who loves to bully and trouble other people. The one he loves to bully was Shota Doi. Among the students in his school, he was the most perverted one as he was caught having romance on school grounds.

Zen Kinebuchi

Zen Kinebuchi is also known by his other name, No. 4. In the past he used to work as a pharmacist salesman. His wife name is Miki Kinebuchi. As Reito also suffered from cellular sclerosis. So, his cold sleep during the treatment made him alive.

When he wakes he knows about the current situation of the world and directly joins Izanami. The main motive of him to join the group was to continue the generation through breeding.

Know about the MK (Man Killer) virus of Worlds’s End Harem

The real cause of the virus is unknown but the virus is created with the help of human-made formula. Adding on, the victim’s cells slowly die and they can’t perform well as they do. Slowly, the skin of the victims starts to turn purple, and have continuous vomiting. After three days of infections, the victims come to death.
