As a result, their number of members keeps on rising or decreasing too. They keep adding new people to the slot after losing one. As well, some of the hashira survived and left due to their aging or other problems too.

SAKONJI UROKODAKI
Sakonji Urodaki seems to be the strongest character in the Demon Slayer series. Even more, he is the one who trained the main protagonist of the series, Tanjiro Kamado. Before that, he also trained Giyu. Giyu is also a powerful pillar who uses a water breathing technique. Also, he was even taking care of Tanjiro as well as Nezuko after turning into a demon. As he is teaching Giyu and Tanjiro both the water breathing style, So, it is clear that he also follows a water breathing style.
We cannot see him in action like other hashiras in the present time with demons. It is because he has retired as a demon slayer. But he still possesses powers and is able to teach Giyu, then Tanjiro. In the past, his pupils beside Giyu were attacked by the demon as an act of revenge. Heading on, he is still alive until this timeline. So, he is one of the characters who will survive till the end of the series.
SHINJURO RENGOKU
Shinjuro Rengoku is the father of Kyojuro and Senjuro. Previously, he was also in the Demon Slayer Corps as a flame hashira. Later, he resigns from it, and his son Kyojuro becomes one of its members. His son Kyojuro also uses the flame breathing style like him. The reason he left the Demon Slayer Corps was not due to aging. It was because of the death of his wife. Moving on, his son Kyojuro also dies while fighting with the demon Akaza. Later, he also finds that his flame breathing style is superior to the sun breathing style too.
As a result, it makes him sit down and start drinking sake. One day, Tanjiro goes to his house, where he sees his earring. It reminds him of Yoriichi, the creator of Sun Breathing Style. Even more, Tanjiro was able to give him a hit on the head and injure him. After Tanjiro goes, he realizes the mistakes he has made in the past. Thus, he also stops drinking the sake. Then he cries over the death of his son, Kyojuro. Along with it, he also gives a scroll of flame breathing to Tanjiro.
TENGEN UZUI
Tengem Uzui is the sound hashira of the demon-slayer corps. Also, he has a much more attractive appearance than any other hashira. His katana also seems quite different from others. He usually uses large Ninchirin blades with a chain holding both blades. As a wind hashira, he has a very good sense of hearing. From the hearing, he can find out where the attacks are coming from. Likewise, he can also know the movements of the demon through this technique. We can also see that Zenitsu also uses this similar technique.
As well, he also has three women as his wives, and they work for him too. But, as he is working as a demon slayer, he first cares about the lives of humans and then only his wives. In the latest battle, he was nearly to die in the battle. Whereas, he manages to stand up and fight. In the same battle, he lost his arm and an eye. So, it will be difficult for him to still hold the slot of the hashira. Therefore, he decides to leave as a Hashira and live a normal life. Though we cannot see him in the final battle, he still survives till the end of the series.
GIYU TOMIOKA
Giyu Tomioka is the first demon slayer whom Tanjiro meets. In the beginning of the series, we can see he tries to kill Nezuko, as she was a demon. But he sees the different nature of Nezuko and is trying to save her brother. As a result, he decides to do nothing with Nezuko and help Tanjiro make his site well. Even though he is very good at the water breathing style, he does not see himself as one of the great hashira. He can perform 10 forms of the water breathing style.
Heading on, we can see him fighting in the last battle of the series too. Beside it, we can see him during Tanjiro fighting with the Rui too. At that time, he was able to kill the demon very easily with just one blow. From it, we can determine how powerful Giyu is. Anyway, he also made a great contribution to having a win over Muzan. In the last battle with Muzan, he fights with other hashira too. Many of them were dead beside him and Sanemi. Though he lost his arm, he still survived the battle.
SANEMI SHINAZUGAWA
Sanemi Shinazugawa is pronounced hashira and is the brother of Genya. In the series, he has very brutal personalities with others. We can also see it during his reaction to Tanjiro and Nezuko. Also, he slashed his baldness inside the box of Nezuko too. Though he has such a rude personality, he still has respect for others too.
We can see him taking part in the battle with Kokushibo. Kokushibo was also one of the demon slayers but later changed into a demon. Even more, Kokushibo is the brother of Yoriichi.
