Who is Yamada Asaemon Sagiri?
Yamada Asaemon Sagiri is from the Yamada executioner clan, who are assigned the job of executing and catching the criminals. Adding on, she is very good at swordsmanship so she is one of the valuable members of her team.
As well, she also goes on a secret mission to a place called Jigokuraku in order to find the elixir of immortality. There, she finds out that the land contains lots of dangerous creatures and criminals. Heading on, she also takes Gabimaru there in return he will be forgiven for his past crime.
Who are the voice actors of Yamada Asaemon Sagiri?
The Japanese voice for the character is provided by the Japanese voice actress Yumiri Hanamori. Whereas, the English voice for the character is contributed by the American voice actress, Maris Duran.
Appearance
Sagiri is a young girl with a height of 5 feet 8 inches(172 cm). As of now, she is 17 years old. The color of her hair and eyes is brown. Most of the time, she seems to be wearing the standard attire which is called hakama. Adding on, she also holds a katana on her waist.
Background – Family and Childhood
Sagiri was born in the Yamada Asaemon Clan, the clan of the executioner. Even more, her father’s name is Yamada Asaemon Kichiji, who is previously Water Asaemon before her. Later, she takes the position of her father. Also, she is very skillful while using the swords.
Heading on, she used to live very strictly in discipline since her childhood because her family was the Asaemon clan. Which leads her to have better swordsmanship and be a disciplined girl from a young age. Moving on, she heads towards the Jigokuraku to find the elixir of immortality as her mission.
Love Interest and Friendship
In the series, she does not have a defined love story or love interest. Well, she develops a good bonding with the main protagonist of the series, Gabimaru. Even though they both are different in personality and goals, they stand for each other and become together.
As a result, they both start to work together in order to protect others. Adding on, she also starts to have a good bond with Mei who is her sister and they were separated when they were young. Likewise, Gabimaru also forms a good bond with another criminal, Yuzihara. They both were together after fighting together to defeat Mu Dan.

Being a hard trainer since a young age she has good physical power with speed. Also, she is very good at hand-to-hand combats and can easily fight even without her swords.

She is very good at using the swords. As well, she uses her double-bladed sword very quickly and precisely in order to defeat the enemies.

Using this ability, she can sense and manipulate objects near her. Even more, she can also predict the danger using this skill.
