Edward Avalaché is the 20th Wizard King of the Clover Kingdom. In the movie Black Clover: Sword of the Wizard King, he is acting as the antagonist. In the movie, Conrad Leto revives him along with Princia Funnybunny and Jester Garandros.

The backstory of Edward Avalaché
Edward was a very good man. Adding on, he loves spending his time in church. As a result, he also became the priest of the church. Also, he opened an orphanage and provided a better place for the homeless children to live.
After ten years of opening the orphanage, he lost all the children due to the war of the Diamond Kingdom, in which the enemy raided the orphanage too. In return, he used his magic for the first time and killed the murderer of those children. Then he was made the 20th Wizard King.
Why was Edward Avalaché removed as Wizard King and executed?
After the incident at the orphanage he created, he wanted equality among all of the nobles, commoners, and outsiders. But the nobles did not like what he was planning. They even planned his downfall and removed him as a Wizard King.
As time went on, he created a group in order to exact revenge on the people who were responsible for his downfall. Also, there was too much corruption within the Kingdom. Later, after finding out what he was planning, he was captured and executed. Heading on, Conrad Leto revives him to complete his motive.
